Harlequins is excited to confirm that Academy and Global Development Director Tony Diprose will be the headline speaker at this year’s 5th annual Las Vegas Coach Development Conference, next month.

The conference, hosted by Atavus, is designed to provide coaches with practical on and off field tools for coaching the modern game.

During his discussion, Diprose will cover defensive philosophy, talent development, and the ability to transfer these skills from training to matchday. It will also provide the opportunity to discuss Harlequins’ on-going relationship with USA Rugby.

He will be joined alongside Wil Snape, USA Rugby Women’s All American Head Coach, and Greg McWilliams, Atavus Curriculum Developer.

Timing his visit to coincide with the Las Vegas leg of the HSBC World 7s Series, and the Las Vegas invitational tournament, Diprose will use this opportunity to meet with USA Rugby, Rugby NorCal and the British American Business Council.

Commenting ahead of the March 2nd , Diprose said: “It is a privilege to be the signature speaker at the Atavus coaching conference in March.

“Like Harlequins, Atavus is driven to develop skills and champion rugby in the USA. Events like this are so important in improving our game at the grassroots in terms of the development of athletes, coaches and wider rugby programmes. It is all part of our exciting goal to grow and develop rugby in the USA and expand Harlequins’ global footprint.”
