Help raise funds for former Harlequins prop Paul Curtis 20170515165253
In September 2016, Paul went mountain-biking like he had done so regularly before with friends but a crash has now left him paralysed from the chest down.

A former prop for Harlequins - who also used to play for Bognor RFC and Rosslyn Park - Paul suffered life-altering injuries. After seven months in the University Hospital of Wales, Paul was transferred to Rookwood, the spinal rehabilitation unit in Cardiff where he will remain until September 2017 when he is expected to return home.

However, Paul's home - where he lives with his wife Rhian - isn't accustomed to the equipment he needs to live his life, the doorways are not wide enough for his wheelchair and the bathroom is up a flight of stairs.

On top of that, Paul needs an additional £50,000 for the care and the specialised equipment to allow him to live at home. He needs specialised boots to stop his feet falling outwards and over-rotating his hips which will cause problems later on. Paul will also need a physio table and specialised wheelchair wheels to allow him to live his life among a number of other expensive pieces of equipment.

A JustGiving page has been set up to help raise funds to modify and adapt Paul's home. For more information and to make a donation please click here.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Stoop, and thank you for your contribution to the Paul Curtis fundraising campaign.
