Harlequins begin search for new Head Coach ahead of new Tyrrells premier 15s era
Harlequins Women can announce that it is looking for a new Head Coach for its Women’s Programme. Harlequins Women recently retained their place in the RFU’s Premier 15s League and will be a part of the 10 team competition for the next three years, competing in the one of the world’s leading Women’s competitions from 2020-2023.
Harlequins have finished twice runner’s up in the past two seasons and were in a strong play-off position when the 2019/20 season was suspended. The Women’s squad currently has a number of internationals in its ranks, including players from England (both senior and U20s), Ireland, Italy and Scotland as well as some of the best domestic talent in the Women’s game.
The team has a strong programme infrastructure in place across the board with a number of full-time staff in place (administration, medical, analysis and strength & conditioning), all of who will work directly with the Head Coach. Harlequins Women are fully integrated across the Club from training at Surrey Sports Park to playing the majority of the home matches at the Twickenham Stoop.
Crowds have consistently grown since our inception and the team regularly play in front of some of the League’s biggest crowds as well as staging record breaking events such as the Club’s annual women’s showcase match - The Game Changer or at the Club’s annual Big Game series, played at Twickenham Stadium. The Club is committed to make a positive and long-lasting impact on the Women’s Sporting landscape and the next three years present an exciting opportunity to continue to push the Women’s game forward and grow the game both on and off the pitch as it enters into a new era.
