After the successful and well-received inaugural trip to Gloucester in 2018 the Rival Ride is back on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th May.
This year, participants will be heading up to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry for Harlequins’ fixture against Wasps on 18th May. They will be doing so in the company of a group of Harlequins legends, led by Olly Kohn.
Divided over two days, our intrepid cyclists will leave the Stoop on the Friday to begin the 200km journey to the Ricoh.
With the bulk of the cycling completed on day one, an evening meal in Staverton hosted by the legends will follow, before breakfast the following morning and the final leg to Coventry. They will then watch the match between the two huge historical rivals, with coach transfers back to The Stoop.
The target is to have at least 100 cyclists raising money and all proceeds from the ride will go to the brilliant work being undertaken on a daily basis by the Harlequins Foundation.
With projects and programmes working across inclusivity in sport for women, disability and mixed socioeconomic backgrounds, as well mental health for both children and adults and their international projects, there is something to inspire any fundraiser.
