Player biography

Since joining from Leeds Tykes in 2006, Danny Care has made more than 250 appearances for his adopted club.

Care epitomises Harlequins' high tempo style of play with his quick tap penalties and fast passes and he was a key figure in both the Amlin Challenge Cup victory in 2011 and the famous win in the Premiership final the following year.

Always one of the first names on the team sheet Care captained his club in both their 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons where he led them to a European Rugby Challenge Cup final before helping them back into the top tier of European rugby the following season.

On the international stage the Loiner played his way up through the England age grades including appearances for England 7s in the 2004 Commonwealth Games.

In 2008 he made his senior international debut against New Zealand and his pace and invention has made him one of the most dangerous operators in world rugby.

In the years following he has become one of England’s most capped scrum-halves in their history and was a key member of the 2016/17 world record setting win streak, as well as the back-to-back RBS Six Nations titles.

In October 2018, Care made his 250th appearance for Harlequins and marked it with a trademark breakaway try against Saracens at The Stoop in the Gallagher Premiership.
